I’ve been contemplating a return to Golf for a little while now, and with the Queenstown climate showing signs of thawing, I thought I’d take the opportunity to play some of the best courses in Australasia whilst waiting for photographic opportunities to arise. I’ve often thought of incorporating Golf Course photography into my resume, so maybe this will be the catalyst I need to combine my two passions……… Anyone thinking I have a love of wide open spaces would be 100% correct !

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010This is pretty much the view I admire on a daily basis. In fact, these were taken from my balcony! My rented house in Fernhill, Queenstown sits on the side of a hill with spectacular views overlooking Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables mountain range. Every single day the view is different depending on the weather conditions.

Monday, August 2nd, 2010I will be hiking into Coyote Buttes, in the Paria Canyon – Vermillion Cliffs Wilderness Area on the Utah / Arizona state border……..I have an email confirming my application for a hike into ‘The Wave’ has been accepted for the 14th of November 2010. Time to start organising flights & accom. etc. & researching location. Apparently ‘The Wave’ is not easy to find and it is not uncommon for search and rescue to be deployed to track down missing hikers. Hmmm…sounds interesting ! Better not forget the GPS!
